Viva la Vida Socks pattern, ENG

The Viva la Vida Socks were originally published in the Finnish knitting book called ‘Villasukkabuffet - Toinen kattaus’. It was a wonderful collaboration between several Finnish knitwear designers and contained spectacular, unisex-themed wool socks for a wide range of tastes. Now the pattern for the Viva la Vida Socks is also available as an individual pattern, as the book has already been sold out.

The 15-pages long PDF pattern includes good charts and written instructions for short leg and long leg version, as well as two different calf and foot widths.

Foot size:
EU 38–39 (41–42)

Leg length: 
In longer version leg length (including the cuff and heel) is about 40 cm.
In shorter version leg length (including the cuff and heel) is about 21 cm.

Upper calf circumference: 
Narrower size suits best for about 37–39 cm calf. 
Wider size suits best for about 41–43 cm calf.

Needles: 
5 double-pointed needles: for stranded knit 2,5 mm / US 1,5, for the cuff 2 mm / US 0

Gauge: 
32 stitches and 34 rows in stranded knitting = 10 x 10 cm

Yarn: 
Opal Uni 4-ply, 425 m / 100 g
